Foodie Holiday Gift Guide

The holidays are a time of giving (and being asked what’s on your wish list). Today I am sharing some of my favorite kitchen tools. For as long as I can remember, my holiday and birthday wish lists almost always include kitchen tools, rather than clothes or money.

This holiday gift guide is for those who love cooking. It should give you some great ideas for giving to someone or even ideas for what you should ask for on your own wish list. The list was compiled from tools that are in my own kitchen, many of which were given to me as gifts during the holidays.

1. Spiralizer

The all mighty spiralizer could be one of the coolest gifts that you could give to someone. These things are amazing and create noodles out of just about anything you can imagine. I promise they will love you for it. Check out my butternut squash noodle recipe that was made using this spiralizer.

2. Vitamix Blender

The Vitamix is the Ferrari of blenders.  It’s one of the more expensive tools in the kitchen, but it really is a superior product.

3. Kitchenaid Stand Mixer

These mixers should come standard with every kitchen. There are so many uses and attachments.

4. Boos Cutting Board / Butcher Block

Hard surfaced cutting boards like bamboo will dull your knives more quickly. This Boos board feels soft and keeps your knives sharp longer and the large work surface is a dream to prep on.

5. All-Clad d5 Stainless-Steel Essential Pan

This is my new favorite pan because it is great for so many different uses.

6. Kitchenaid Pasta Roller Attachment for stand mixers

Perfect for anyone who loves pasta. Making your own pasta at home is much easier than you think, especially with this stand mixer attachment. A manual / hand crank version is also available here.

7. Lodge 12″ Cast Iron Skillet

Every cook absolutely must have a cast iron skillet. If there were only one pan that you could own; this would be it.

8. Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor

The workhorse of the kitchen. Shreds vegetables or cheese in seconds, makes pasta dough in under a minute.

9. Masterbuilt Electric Smoker

There are a lot of options when it comes to smokers, but most make it difficult to maintain the desired temperature. I found that I actually use this one because it is electric and maintains the temperature I set it to. It makes some absolutely delicious smoked chicken, ribs, pork, fish or whatever else you can think of.

10. Le Creuset Utensil Crock

What better place to store those fancy utensils than in a stylish Le Crueset crock with a color that matches your kitchen?

11. Prepara Salt Savor with Spoon

I always like to leave a container of salt on the counter for convenience. This salt savor keeps the salt free from flying objects that might contaminate your very important ingredient.

12. Atlas Pepper Mill

This is the best pepper mill I have ever used. It is adjustable, feels great in the hand and looks beautiful. The brass version tarnishes pretty easily, so I prefer this chrome version that stays shiny and matches most kitchens.

13. OXO Good Grips Stainless-Steel Locking Tongs

These are perfect for stocking stuffers. You can never have enough tongs around the kitchen.

14. Microplane Zester/Grater

Such a great and inexpensive gift. There are many variations when it comes to Microplanes. This one is the most versatile.

15. Fish Spatula

This is probably the most versatile spatula you can own. Use it to turn delicate fish, flip burgers, scrape bits off the bottom of your pan, or even whisk a sauce.

16. Rosle Egg Topper/Cracker

A must have for the soft-cooked egg lover. The Rosle egg topper easily cuts the top of the egg right off.

That said, there is no additional cost to you, and I’m not suggesting them because I make money. I am suggesting them because I own every one of these products and know that they will truly make amazing gifts.
