Pork Dry Rub

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dark chili powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ground black pepper


  • Combine all ingredients with a whisk or a fork.
  • Use immediately or store to use later. 


  • Makes about 3/4 cup dry rub, which is more than enough for a 2-pound pork belly.
  • Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place away from light.
