Basic Vinaigrette
This guide will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about how to make an easy homemade vinaigrette salad dressing with plenty of variations.

Ingredients

vinegar

finely minced shallot

tsp
Dijon mustard

tbsp
sugar or honey

kosher salt

freshly ground black pepper

extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together all vinaigrette ingredients except the olive oil to combine and dissolve.
Slowly drizzle the olive oil into the bowl while continually whisking to emulsify the vinaigrette.
Taste test for acidity, sweetness and salt, and adjust as needed.
